The iPad Pro 9.7-inch uses a laminated screen design, meaning the LCD, touch digitizer, and front glass are combined into one complete screen assembly.

Aftermarket Option

The aftermarket option is a cost-effective replacement designed to restore display and touch functionality. It may differ from the original Apple screen in brightness, colour accuracy, viewing angles, glass finish, touch feel, backlight uniformity, thickness, colour temperature, or overall display refinement.

Please note that the aftermarket screen may use a thicker or larger backlight generation unit than the original Apple display, as shown in the product photos. Because of this structural difference, the screen may not sit completely flush or seal properly against the iPad housing.

The final fit may also depend on the condition of the original frame. A bent, dented, damaged, or insufficiently cleaned housing can make the fitment or sealing issue more noticeable. The screen should never be forced into position, as excessive pressure may damage the display or touch layer.

Refurbished Option

The refurbished option typically uses a refurbished original display panel with replacement front glass and related components. It generally provides a closer-to-original fit, thickness, brightness, colour reproduction, viewing experience, and overall display quality than the aftermarket option.

Refurbished screens may still have minor cosmetic or visual variation due to the condition of the original panel and the refurbishment process. These differences do not necessarily indicate a defect when the screen functions correctly.

Important Installation Notes

Professional installation is strongly recommended. iPad Pro 9.7-inch screen replacement requires heat application, careful screen removal, frame cleaning, adhesive application, flex cable handling, home button transfer, and accurate screen alignment.

No tools or adhesive are included.

This screen does not include the home button flex. The original home button must be transferred carefully to preserve Touch ID functionality.

The replacement screen should be fully tested before final installation and before removing protective films.

The original housing must be straight, clean, and free of dents, old adhesive, broken glass, and debris. A bent or damaged frame may prevent either replacement option from fitting or sealing correctly.

For the aftermarket option, additional care is required during alignment and sealing because its backlight generation unit may be thicker or larger than the OEM design. Proper sealing cannot be guaranteed, even when installation is performed correctly.

Do not apply excessive pressure or force the aftermarket screen into the housing. Doing so may cause pressure marks, internal LCD damage, touch issues, cracked glass, screen lifting, or separation.

Home button damage, torn flex cables, bracket damage, incorrect installation, Touch ID issues caused during transfer, or damage caused by excessive pressure is not covered under warranty.

Warranty Information

This component includes a 30-day limited parts warranty for qualifying manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover installation damage, accidental damage, cracked glass, internal display damage, pressure damage, torn flex cables, home button damage, Touch ID issues caused during transfer, adhesive problems, frame-related fitment issues, liquid exposure, compatibility mistakes, or damage caused by improper repair procedures.

Fitment, lifting, or sealing issues resulting from the aftermarket screen’s thicker or larger backlight generation unit are known product characteristics and are not considered manufacturing defects.
