Important Consumer Rights Notice

This Smartphone Accessories Replacement Policy (“Policy”) describes the voluntary replacement coverage offered by 3C-Easy Markham for eligible smartphone, tablet, and mobile-device accessories.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit, exclude, replace, or waive any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or waived under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

Depending on the nature of the issue, the condition of the product, available inventory, applicable manufacturer coverage, and applicable law, an eligible product may be replaced, exchanged, credited, repaired where appropriate, or refunded.

3C-Easy Markham does not currently ship online orders to addresses in Quebec. The French version of this Policy is maintained for accessibility, convenience, and future readiness.

1. Purpose and Scope

At 3C-Easy Markham, we are committed to offering dependable smartphone accessories and a clear, transparent after-sales process.

This Policy explains when an eligible accessory purchased from 3C-Easy Markham may qualify for replacement because of:

  • a verified manufacturing or material defect;
  • damage occurring during shipment;
  • receipt of an incorrect product;
  • a missing item; or
  • another verified fulfilment error attributable to 3C-Easy Markham.

Eligible products may include:

  • protective phone and tablet cases;
  • screen and camera-lens protectors;
  • charging cables;
  • wall chargers;
  • vehicle chargers;
  • wireless chargers;
  • power banks;
  • adapters;
  • device mounts;
  • audio accessories;
  • cleaning products; and
  • other mobile-device accessories expressly covered by this Policy.

This Policy does not apply to:

  • replacement screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, flex cables, circuit boards, or other repair components;
  • repair or diagnostic services;
  • labour or installation services;
  • software, programming, or calibration services; or
  • products governed by a separate written warranty or return policy.

Please review this Policy together with the applicable product listing, our Return Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and any warranty information provided by the manufacturer.

2. 3C-Easy Markham Replacement Warranty

Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, eligible non-premium-brand smartphone accessories are covered by a 90-day limited replacement warranty.

The warranty begins on:

  • the original purchase date shown on the receipt for an in-store purchase;
  • the order date for a local-pickup order; or
  • the confirmed delivery date for a shipped online order.

This voluntary warranty is administered by 3C-Easy Markham and covers verified defects in materials or manufacturing that occur during normal use for the product’s intended purpose.

A product-specific warranty period stated in the applicable product listing will take priority over the general 90-day period, subject to applicable law.

3. Premium Brands and Manufacturer-Handled Warranties

Certain established or premium brands may offer their own extended, product-specific, limited-lifetime, or manufacturer-backed warranties.

These manufacturer warranties are separate from the 3C-Easy Markham replacement warranty and are administered exclusively by the applicable manufacturer.

Where a manufacturer requires a claim to be submitted directly, 3C-Easy Markham is not authorized to:

  • register the product on the customer’s behalf;
  • create or access the customer’s manufacturer account;
  • approve or deny the manufacturer’s claim;
  • waive the manufacturer’s eligibility requirements;
  • issue a manufacturer-authorized replacement;
  • collect manufacturer replacement fees; or
  • guarantee approval or fulfilment of the claim.

Customers are responsible for completing any required product registration and submitting the claim directly to the manufacturer.

Manufacturer coverage may depend on:

  • product category and model;
  • purchase date;
  • country or region;
  • proof of purchase;
  • authorized-reseller requirements;
  • registration deadlines;
  • product availability; and
  • the manufacturer’s current warranty terms.

Please refer to Section 12: Brand Warranty Quick Links.

4. Eligibility for Replacement

Subject to the exclusions and conditions in this Policy, a replacement request may qualify in the following circumstances.

4.1 Manufacturing or Material Defect

The product develops a verified defect in materials or manufacturing during the applicable warranty period while being used normally and for its intended purpose.

Examples may include:

  • a charging cable that stops functioning without visible physical damage;
  • a charger that no longer supplies power despite appropriate testing;
  • a case with a verified structural or material defect;
  • a defective connector, switch, port, housing, or internal function; or
  • another malfunction attributable to manufacturing rather than misuse, wear, damage, incompatibility, or failure of another device.

The existence of a problem does not automatically establish a manufacturing defect. Inspection, photographs, video, troubleshooting, or testing may be required.

4.2 Shipping Damage

A product that arrives damaged because of transit or carrier handling may qualify for replacement.

Visible shipping damage should be reported within three calendar days after delivery.

Customers should retain:

  • the damaged product;
  • the outer shipping package;
  • internal packing materials;
  • product packaging;
  • shipping labels; and
  • photographs of the package and product.

Prompt reporting helps preserve evidence and carrier remedies. It does not eliminate a legal right that cannot lawfully be waived.

4.3 Incorrect Product Received

A replacement or correction may be available where the product received does not match the confirmed order in relation to:

  • model;
  • colour;
  • size;
  • quantity;
  • product type; or
  • selected variation.

The issue should be reported within three calendar days after receipt and before the item is used, installed, activated, altered, or materially handled.

Minor packaging or manufacturing revisions that do not materially change the product’s identity, compatibility, or intended function will not necessarily constitute an incorrect item.

4.4 Missing Item

A missing-item claim may be submitted where an item shown on the order confirmation or packing record is absent from the shipment.

The issue should be reported within three calendar days after delivery.

We may review:

  • package weight;
  • order and packing records;
  • inventory records;
  • shipping photographs;
  • available surveillance records; and
  • carrier information.

4.5 Other Fulfilment Error

Another verified fulfilment error attributable to 3C-Easy Markham may qualify for correction, replacement, or another appropriate remedy.

5. Exclusions

Except where prohibited by applicable law, the following are not covered by this voluntary Replacement Policy.

5.1 Accidental or User-Induced Damage

This includes damage caused by:

  • drops;
  • impacts;
  • crushing;
  • bending;
  • punctures;
  • excessive pressure;
  • liquid or moisture exposure;
  • fire or excessive heat;
  • improper storage;
  • misuse;
  • abuse;
  • neglect;
  • pets or children; or
  • handling inconsistent with the product’s intended purpose.

5.2 Normal Wear and Tear

Normal deterioration resulting from regular use is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Examples include:

  • scratches;
  • scuffs;
  • dents;
  • fading;
  • yellowing;
  • staining;
  • discolouration;
  • coating wear;
  • worn printing;
  • cosmetic deterioration;
  • gradual loosening caused by extended use; and
  • ordinary reduction in rechargeable-battery capacity over time.

5.3 Improper Installation or Use

Coverage does not apply to damage or failure caused by improper:

  • installation;
  • removal;
  • charging;
  • connection;
  • cleaning;
  • storage;
  • maintenance; or
  • use.

Examples include:

  • forcing an incompatible connector;
  • using an unsuitable power source;
  • exceeding rated voltage, current, wattage, temperature, or weight limits;
  • installing a screen protector incorrectly;
  • failing to prepare the installation surface;
  • repeatedly removing and reinstalling a product;
  • using an incompatible device; or
  • failing to follow the supplied instructions.

5.4 Compatibility or Device-Specific Issues

Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility before purchase.

A product is not considered defective solely because:

  • the wrong device model or variation was selected;
  • the customer’s device does not support the product’s advertised function;
  • a damaged device port prevents normal operation;
  • software settings or operating-system limitations affect functionality;
  • another case, magnet, cable, adapter, or accessory interferes with use;
  • wireless charging is affected by alignment, temperature, case thickness, magnets, or the receiving device;
  • charging speed depends on the connected device, charger, cable, protocol, or power source; or
  • the customer expected a feature not stated in the product listing.

5.5 Unauthorized Repair or Modification

Coverage does not apply to a product that has been:

  • opened;
  • disassembled;
  • repaired;
  • rewired;
  • soldered;
  • cut;
  • altered;
  • repainted; or
  • otherwise modified by the customer or another party.

5.6 Damage to a Connected or Protected Device

This Policy covers only the eligible accessory.

Except where required by applicable law, it does not cover damage to or loss involving:

  • a smartphone;
  • a tablet;
  • a computer;
  • a vehicle;
  • furniture;
  • personal property;
  • stored data;
  • accounts;
  • business operations; or
  • another product used with the accessory.

No case, screen protector, charger, mount, cable, or other accessory can guarantee that a connected or protected device will not be damaged.

5.7 Loss or Theft

Lost, misplaced, abandoned, or stolen products are not eligible for replacement.

5.8 Buyer’s Remorse or Personal Preference

This Policy does not provide replacement coverage for:

  • a change of mind;
  • colour or style preference;
  • dissatisfaction unrelated to a defect;
  • purchasing the wrong model;
  • finding a lower price elsewhere;
  • no longer needing the product; or
  • another reason unrelated to a verified defect or fulfilment error.

Any discretionary return of a non-defective product is governed by our Return Policy.

5.9 Consumable Products

A product designed to be consumed, depleted, or gradually worn through normal use is not defective merely because it has been used up or exhausted.

5.10 Substituted or Unverifiable Products

A claim may be denied where the submitted product:

  • was not purchased from 3C-Easy Markham;
  • cannot reasonably be matched to the proof of purchase;
  • has had identifying markings removed or altered;
  • has been substituted with another item; or
  • cannot reasonably be verified as the product originally sold.

6. Refunds and Available Remedies

This Policy primarily governs replacement requests.

A refund is not automatically available merely because a product is submitted for warranty review.

Depending on the circumstances, 3C-Easy Markham may provide:

  • replacement with the same product;
  • replacement with a comparable product;
  • exchange;
  • repair where appropriate;
  • store credit;
  • partial refund; or
  • refund to the original payment method.

A refund may be provided where:

  • required by applicable law;
  • the product cannot reasonably be replaced;
  • repeated replacement attempts have not resolved a verified defect;
  • the issue resulted from a fulfilment error and a refund is the appropriate remedy; or
  • 3C-Easy Markham expressly approves the refund.

Original shipping charges, expedited-shipping charges, return-shipping costs, and related fees are refundable only where required by law, where the issue resulted from our error, or where expressly approved by 3C-Easy Markham.

7. Replacement Request Process

Step 1: Contact Customer Support

Email support@3cez.ca within the applicable warranty or reporting period.

Please include:

  • the order number or proof of purchase;
  • the purchaser’s name;
  • the product name, model, and colour;
  • the date the issue began;
  • a detailed description of the problem;
  • the device used with the accessory;
  • the troubleshooting already performed; and
  • whether the product was purchased online, for local pickup, or in-store.

Step 2: Provide Supporting Evidence

We may require clear photographs or videos showing:

  • the complete product;
  • the reported defect or damage;
  • the connector, cable, port, housing, or affected area;
  • product packaging;
  • model, serial, batch, or identifying information;
  • the shipping package and label; and
  • the product being tested, where appropriate.

Failure to provide reasonably requested evidence may prevent us from verifying the claim.

Step 3: Complete Reasonable Troubleshooting

Before authorizing a return, we may request reasonable troubleshooting, including:

  • testing the accessory with another compatible device;
  • testing with another known-working cable, charger, or adapter;
  • removing an interfering case or accessory;
  • confirming the applicable device settings;
  • restarting the connected device;
  • checking the product’s rated specifications; or
  • safely cleaning an accessible connector.

Customers should not perform any troubleshooting that is unsafe, destructive, or inconsistent with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 4: Obtain Return Authorization

Products should not be returned until 3C-Easy Markham provides return instructions or authorization.

Unauthorized returns may be refused, delayed, or returned to the sender at the sender’s expense, except where prohibited by law.

Please refer to our Return Policy for full return-shipping and packaging requirements.

Step 5: Return the Product Where Required

The complete product and any reasonably required accessories, packaging, or included materials must be returned.

The customer must package the product appropriately to prevent additional damage during transit.

Unless the issue resulted from our error or applicable law requires otherwise, the customer may be responsible for the initial cost of returning the product for assessment.

Step 6: Inspection and Assessment

Once received, the product may be:

  • visually inspected;
  • functionally tested;
  • compared with the order record;
  • checked for physical or liquid damage;
  • checked for alteration or misuse;
  • tested with compatible equipment; and
  • reviewed against the applicable specifications.

An intermittent or device-specific concern may require additional testing or information.

8. Processing and Replacement Fulfilment

We generally aim to complete the initial inspection within two business days after receiving the returned product and all information reasonably required to assess the claim.

This is a processing target and not a guaranteed completion time.

Processing may take longer where:

  • additional testing is required;
  • information is incomplete;
  • the reported defect is intermittent;
  • a distributor or manufacturer must be consulted;
  • product identity or claim validity requires further review;
  • replacement inventory is unavailable; or
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control cause delay.

Where the defect or fulfilment issue is covered by this Policy, an approved replacement will normally be shipped using a standard shipping method at no additional charge.

Expedited replacement shipping is not included unless required by law or expressly approved by 3C-Easy Markham.

9. Replacement Product Conditions

Where reasonably available, an approved replacement will be the same:

  • brand;
  • model;
  • colour;
  • size; and
  • variation

as the original product.

Where an identical replacement is unavailable, 3C-Easy Markham may offer:

  • a different colour;
  • a successor model;
  • a comparable product with similar functionality;
  • a product of equal or greater retail value;
  • store credit; or
  • another appropriate remedy.

A customer will not be required to accept a materially different substitute where doing so would be unreasonable or contrary to applicable law.

Replacement availability remains subject to inventory, supplier availability, manufacturer discontinuation, and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Warranty on Replacement Products

Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, manufacturer policy, or applicable law, a product replaced under the 3C-Easy Markham warranty will be covered for:

  • the remaining balance of the original warranty period; or
  • 14 calendar days from the date the replacement is delivered or collected,

whichever period is longer.

A replacement does not restart a new 90-day warranty period unless 3C-Easy Markham expressly confirms otherwise in writing.

A replacement supplied directly by a manufacturer remains subject to that manufacturer’s warranty terms.

11. Inspection, Verification, and Claim Decisions

All replacement requests are subject to reasonable inspection and verification.

3C-Easy Markham will assess claims in good faith and in accordance with:

  • this Policy;
  • the product listing;
  • the condition of the product;
  • the evidence provided;
  • test results;
  • applicable manufacturer requirements; and
  • applicable law.

A claim may be denied where:

  • no defect can reasonably be reproduced or verified;
  • the product functions according to its specifications;
  • the issue is caused by an incompatible or defective connected device;
  • an exclusion in this Policy applies;
  • the warranty period has expired;
  • proof of purchase cannot be provided;
  • the original product is not returned where reasonably required;
  • the product was damaged after purchase;
  • materially inaccurate or incomplete information was supplied; or
  • there is reasonable evidence of substitution, alteration, abuse, or fraudulent activity.

Where a claim is denied, a reasonable explanation will be provided upon request.

13. General Manufacturer Warranty Notice

Manufacturer warranties may differ significantly from the 3C-Easy Markham replacement warranty.

Depending on the brand and product:

  • registration may be required;
  • registration deadlines may apply;
  • proof of purchase may be required;
  • only the original purchaser may be eligible;
  • coverage may be limited to purchases from authorized sellers;
  • the original product may need to be returned;
  • shipping, handling, taxes, or replacement fees may apply;
  • a replacement may be refurbished or a different colour;
  • a comparable product or credit may be offered;
  • accidental damage or normal wear may be excluded;
  • damage to a connected device may be excluded; and
  • the replacement may carry only the remaining original warranty.

Manufacturer approval, remedy selection, processing time, replacement availability, and applicable fees are determined solely by the manufacturer.

3C-Easy Markham:

  • does not guarantee approval of a manufacturer claim;
  • does not guarantee the continued availability of a manufacturer warranty program;
  • is not responsible for manufacturer delays, denials, policy changes, discontinuations, or fees; and
  • does not assume the manufacturer’s warranty obligations.

Third-party warranty references and links are provided for customer convenience only.

14. Protective Accessories

Protective accessories are designed to reduce certain risks but cannot prevent all damage.

No case, screen protector, lens protector, pouch, mount, or other protective accessory can guarantee that a smartphone, tablet, camera lens, display, vehicle, or other property will remain undamaged.

Protection may depend on:

  • the height and angle of an impact;
  • the surface involved;
  • prior device damage;
  • correct installation;
  • the condition of the accessory;
  • removal or repositioning;
  • environmental conditions;
  • compatibility; and
  • circumstances outside the accessory manufacturer’s control.

Except where required by applicable law, warranty coverage for an accessory does not include repair or replacement of the connected or protected device.

15. Policy Updates

We may revise this Policy from time to time, subject to applicable law.

The version in effect on the original purchase date will generally govern the retailer warranty applicable to that purchase.

Procedural updates in effect when a claim is submitted may apply where they do not materially reduce an existing right.

A later revision will not retroactively eliminate a right where doing so would be prohibited by law.

The “Last updated” date identifies the most recent revision.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit, exclude, replace, or waive any right, warranty, condition, obligation, or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or waived.
