Product Description

Replacement Charging Port for Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus

Restore wired charging and USB connectivity on a compatible Samsung Galaxy S10 series device with this replacement USB-C charging port.

This internal component is designed to replace a physically damaged, loose, corroded, or defective charging connector affected by intermittent charging, failed USB connections, poor cable fitment, or other port-related hardware faults.

Unlike Samsung models that use a separate charging daughter board, the charging port on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus must be removed from and soldered directly to the existing mainboard.

Professional microsoldering installation is required.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus use model-specific charging ports. Select the exact phone model and visually compare the replacement connector with the original component before ordering.

Common Charging-Port Failure Symptoms

Replacement may be appropriate when the device:

  • Does not charge through a USB-C cable
  • Charges only when the cable is held at a particular angle
  • Repeatedly connects and disconnects while charging
  • Has a visibly loose, bent, cracked, or damaged USB-C port
  • Has broken, recessed, or corroded connector pins
  • Displays an accessory or charging-related warning
  • Is not detected by a computer
  • Cannot complete USB data transfer
  • Charges slowly despite using compatible charging equipment
  • Does not activate Samsung fast charging
  • Has compacted debris that cannot be safely removed
  • Stops charging after impact or liquid exposure
  • Charges wirelessly but not through the USB-C connector

These symptoms may also be caused by a defective battery, damaged USB-C cable, unsuitable power adapter, contaminated connector, charging-control circuit fault, damaged mainboard traces, failed supporting components, software problems, liquid ingress, or another defective component.

A persistent moisture warning may be caused by moisture, corrosion, contamination, damaged circuitry, software, or a fault elsewhere on the mainboard. Replacing the USB-C connector does not guarantee that the warning will be resolved.

Proper board-level diagnosis is recommended before replacing the charging port.

Product Quality Notes

This replacement charging port may be aftermarket, original-equipment grade, pulled original, or otherwise sourced depending on the selected product option and available inventory.

Connector fitment, internal pin quality, metal finish, component markings, mounting-tab design, and production tolerances may vary depending on the component grade and production batch.

The replacement part normally includes only the USB-C connector unless otherwise stated. It does not include:

  • Mainboard
  • Charging daughter board
  • Microphone
  • Interconnect flex cable
  • Supporting integrated circuits
  • Charging-control components
  • Tools or soldering materials

Compare the replacement connector carefully with the original part before beginning the repair.

A replacement connector will not resolve charging problems caused by damaged mainboard pads, broken traces, failed charging circuitry, battery faults, unsuitable accessories, software, or unrelated components.

Soldering Requirement

This charging port is soldered directly to the phone’s mainboard.

Installation requires specialized board-level repair equipment and experience, which may include:

  • Temperature-controlled soldering equipment
  • Hot-air rework station
  • Board preheater
  • Microscope
  • Suitable flux and solder
  • Low-melting-point alloy where appropriate
  • Solder wick or desoldering equipment
  • Board-holding fixture
  • Precision cleaning materials
  • Multimeter or diagnostic equipment

The original port must be removed without overheating the mainboard or damaging nearby components.

All solder joints, mounting tabs, grounding points, and connector pins must be properly bonded. Incomplete soldering may result in intermittent charging, unavailable data transfer, failed fast charging, accessory problems, or further mainboard damage.

This component is not suitable for installation with basic household tools.

Mainboard Damage Warning

Charging-port removal and installation carry a significant risk of board damage.

Improper temperature, excessive force, unsuitable tools, or incorrect soldering technique may cause:

  • Lifted or missing solder pads
  • Torn or damaged mainboard traces
  • Bridged connector pins
  • Cold or incomplete solder joints
  • Damage to nearby integrated circuits
  • Displaced surface-mounted components
  • Board delamination
  • Heat damage
  • Short circuits
  • Permanent loss of charging or USB functionality
  • Complete device failure

The mainboard should be inspected under magnification before installation.

If pads or traces are already missing, additional board reconstruction or jumper work may be required. A replacement charging port alone will not repair damaged solder pads or circuitry.

Regional, Carrier, and Chipset Compatibility Notice

Samsung Galaxy S10 series devices were produced in multiple regional, carrier, and chipset configurations.

A charging port designed for one SM-G973 or SM-G975 variant may not be suitable for every other variant, even when the external phone model appears identical.

Differences may include:

  • Connector pin arrangement
  • Mounting-tab position
  • Port housing design
  • Mainboard layout
  • Grounding points
  • Supporting components
  • Regional or carrier-specific circuitry

Confirm the complete model number and visually compare the original and replacement connectors before installation.

Installation of an incompatible charging port may result in poor fitment, failed charging, unavailable data transfer, fast-charging problems, accessory errors, or mainboard damage.

Installation Notes

Professional microsoldering installation is required.

Replacing the charging port requires opening the rear housing, removing the mainboard, protecting heat-sensitive components, desoldering the original connector, preparing the solder pads, and installing the replacement port with precise alignment.

Improper handling may damage the rear glass, display, battery, wireless charging assembly, loudspeaker, antennas, fingerprint-sensor components, cameras, mainboard, flex cables, or connector sockets.

Before final installation:

  • Confirm the complete Samsung model number
  • Compare the replacement connector with the original port
  • Inspect the connector pins, housing, mounting tabs, and alignment points
  • Disconnect and remove the battery before board-level heating
  • Remove the mainboard from the device before soldering
  • Protect nearby components from excessive heat
  • Inspect the original solder pads and traces under magnification
  • Check for corrosion or previous repair damage
  • Remove old solder and prepare the pads properly
  • Align the replacement port precisely with the mainboard
  • Confirm that every connector pin is properly soldered
  • Confirm that all mounting and grounding tabs are secure
  • Inspect for solder bridges, loose joints, or displaced components
  • Clean residual flux from the repair area
  • Test for short circuits before reconnecting the battery
  • Test wired charging before reassembling the device
  • Test charging with more than one known-good cable and adapter
  • Confirm standard and fast-charging operation
  • Confirm USB connection and data transfer with a computer
  • Test compatible USB-C accessories where applicable
  • Confirm that the cable fits securely and evenly
  • Check for excessive heat during charging
  • Test wireless charging to identify unrelated charging faults
  • Test cellular signal, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, microphone, and loudspeaker functions before resealing the device

The USB-C port must be precisely aligned with the frame opening. Incorrect alignment may cause difficult cable insertion, incomplete connection, housing pressure, damaged solder joints, or premature connector failure.

No tools, solder, flux, adhesive, rear-cover seal, or installation materials are included.

Water-Resistance Notice

Opening the device compromises the original factory seal.

A replacement rear-cover adhesive seal may help reduce exposure to dust and incidental moisture, but original water resistance cannot be restored or guaranteed after repair.

The USB-C connector must be installed and aligned correctly with the frame opening. Improper fitment may allow moisture or debris to enter the device.

Avoid exposing a repaired device to water, steam, high humidity, or other liquids.
