Product Description
Replacement Charging Port Board for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G and S21 FE 5G
Restore wired charging and related lower-board functions on a compatible Samsung Galaxy FE series device with this replacement charging port board.
This internal component is designed to replace a damaged or defective USB-C charging port board affected by intermittent charging, failed USB connections, loose cable fitment, microphone problems, physical connector damage, or other hardware-related faults.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G and Galaxy S21 FE 5G use different charging port boards. Select the exact phone model, regional variant, and board revision before ordering, as these components are not interchangeable.

Common Charging-Port Failure Symptoms
Replacement may be appropriate when the device:
- Does not charge through a USB-C cable
- Charges only when the cable is held at a particular angle
- Repeatedly connects and disconnects while charging
- Displays a moisture, accessory, or charging-related warning
- Is not detected by a computer
- Cannot complete USB data transfer
- Has a loose, bent, damaged, or corroded USB-C port
- Has compacted debris that cannot be safely removed
- Charges slowly despite using compatible charging equipment
- Does not activate Samsung Fast Charging or Super Fast Charging
- Has poor microphone performance during calls or recordings
- Produces muffled, distorted, quiet, or intermittent lower-microphone audio
- Stops charging after impact or liquid exposure
- Charges wirelessly but not through the USB-C connector
These symptoms may also be caused by a defective battery, damaged USB-C cable, unsuitable power adapter, contaminated connector, charging-control circuit fault, mainboard damage, damaged interconnect flex cable, software problems, liquid ingress, or another defective component.
A persistent moisture warning may be caused by moisture, corrosion, contamination, software, the charging port board, its connectors, or the mainboard. Replacing the board does not guarantee that the warning will be resolved.
Proper diagnosis is recommended before replacing the charging port board.
Product Quality Notes
This replacement charging port board may be aftermarket, refurbished original, pulled original, or otherwise sourced depending on the selected product option and available inventory.
Charging speed, USB-C connector fitment, microphone performance, data-transfer stability, antenna performance, board appearance, component markings, and included subcomponents may vary depending on the component grade and production batch.
Depending on the model and supplier, the charging port board may include:
- USB-C charging connector
- Lower microphone
- Antenna or grounding contacts
- Spring contacts
- Board connectors
- Supporting electronic components
- Mounting or alignment points
Included components may vary. Compare the replacement board carefully with the original component before installation.
A replacement charging port board will not resolve charging problems caused by the battery, mainboard, charging-control circuitry, damaged board connectors, damaged interconnect flex cables, unsuitable accessories, or software.
Regional, Carrier, Chipset, and Revision Compatibility Notice
Samsung Galaxy FE devices were produced in multiple regional, carrier, chipset, and production-revision configurations.
A charging port board designed for one SM-G781 or SM-G990 variant may not function correctly in another variant, even when the external phone model appears identical.
Differences may include:
- Board shape
- Connector position
- USB-C port design
- Antenna or grounding contacts
- Microphone configuration
- Supporting electronic components
- Cellular antenna routing
- Regional or carrier-specific circuitry
- Production-revision connector layout
Confirm the complete model number and visually compare the original and replacement boards before installation.
Installation of an incompatible charging port board may result in:
- Failed or intermittent charging
- Slow or unavailable fast charging
- Microphone failure
- USB data-transfer problems
- Moisture-detection warnings
- Weak or missing cellular reception
- Poor antenna performance
- Other lower-device functionality problems
The Galaxy S20 FE 5G and Galaxy S21 FE 5G charging port boards are not interchangeable.
Different revisions within the same model family should also not be assumed to be interchangeable without comparing the original board.
Installation Notes
Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Replacing the charging port board requires opening the rear housing and carefully removing internal components. Improper handling may damage the rear cover, display, battery, wireless charging assembly, loudspeaker, antennas, cameras, mainboard, flex cables, or connector sockets.
Before final installation:
- Confirm the complete Samsung model number
- Compare the replacement board with the original component
- Inspect the board shape, connectors, contacts, microphone, and mounting points
- Check any revision or part numbers printed on the original board
- Disconnect the battery before removing or connecting components
- Inspect the mainboard-to-charging-board interconnect flex cable
- Remove dust, lint, corrosion, and debris from the surrounding area
- Test wired charging before resealing the device
- Test charging with more than one known-good cable and adapter
- Confirm standard, Fast Charging, and Super Fast Charging where supported
- Confirm USB connection and data transfer with a computer
- Test compatible USB-C accessories where applicable
- Test the lower microphone
- Test calls, voice recordings, and speakerphone operation
- Check loudspeaker operation
- Test cellular signal and mobile-data connectivity
- Test 5G connectivity where supported
- Test Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC where appropriate
- Confirm that no moisture or charging warning remains
- Test wireless charging to identify unrelated charging faults
- Check for unexpected restarting, overheating, or other abnormal behaviour
Do not force connectors into place. Bent pins, damaged sockets, torn flex cables, misplaced screws, or excessive pressure may permanently damage the charging port board or mainboard.
The USB-C port must be correctly aligned with the frame opening before surrounding components are secured. Poor alignment may cause difficult cable insertion, incomplete connection, housing pressure, or premature port damage.
No tools, adhesive, rear-cover seal, or installation materials are included.
Water-Resistance Notice
Opening the device compromises the original factory seal.
A replacement rear-cover adhesive seal may help reduce exposure to dust and incidental moisture, but original water resistance cannot be restored or guaranteed after repair.
The charging port board and USB-C connector must be installed and aligned correctly. Improper installation may leave openings that allow moisture or debris to enter the device.
Avoid exposing a repaired device to water, steam, high humidity, or other liquids.

This component includes a 30-day limited parts-only warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the applicable 3C-Easy Markham Component Warranty.
The warranty does not cover:
- Incorrect regional, carrier, chipset, or production-revision compatibility
- Installation in an incompatible SM-G781 or SM-G990 variant

- Problems caused by damaged interconnect flex cables
- USB, microphone, antenna, cellular, or signal issues caused by unrelated components
- Software, accessory, sensor, or compatibility limitations
- Persistent moisture warnings caused by unrelated faults
- Labour, diagnostics, installation, removal, or related repair costs
The component must be connected and fully tested before final installation.
