Lock-Screen Passcode Reset Service

Forgotten the lock-screen passcode for your phone or tablet? 3C-Easy Markham offers an authorized reset and restoration service for supported devices.

This service uses official device recovery or factory-reset procedures. It does not bypass account security, activation locks, carrier restrictions, or anti-theft protections.

In most cases, resetting a forgotten lock-screen passcode requires erasing the device. Any information that is not already backed up may be permanently lost.

Supported Devices

This service may be available for:

  • Apple iPhone
  • Apple iPad
  • Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets
  • Google Pixel devices
  • Motorola phones
  • Other supported Android phones and tablets

Compatibility depends on the device model, operating system, account status, physical condition, and available recovery methods.

What the Service Includes

  • Initial assessment of the locked device
  • Use of supported recovery or factory-reset procedures
  • Reinstallation or restoration of the operating system where required
  • Basic setup assistance after a successful reset
  • Confirmation that the device reaches the activation or setup screen

Account recovery, data recovery, hardware repair, and software troubleshooting beyond the reset process are separate services unless specifically included.

Proof of Ownership Required

To protect customer privacy and prevent unauthorized access, proof of ownership is required before service begins.

Acceptable documentation may include:

  • Original purchase receipt
  • Carrier or retailer invoice
  • Device agreement showing the serial number or IMEI
  • Business ownership documentation
  • Other reliable proof connecting the customer to the device

Government-issued identification may also be requested.

3C-Easy Markham reserves the right to decline service when ownership cannot be reasonably verified.

Important Data-Loss Notice

A forgotten lock-screen passcode normally cannot be removed while preserving the data stored on the device.

Completing this service may permanently erase:

  • Photos and videos
  • Messages
  • Contacts
  • Applications
  • Notes and documents
  • Saved passwords
  • Device settings
  • Locally stored files

Data may be restored afterward only when a usable cloud or computer backup already exists and the customer can access the associated account.

3C-Easy Markham is not responsible for data loss resulting from an authorized reset or restoration procedure.

Apple Activation Lock

After an iPhone or iPad is erased, the device may request the Apple Account previously associated with it.

The customer must know the correct:

  • Apple Account email address or phone number
  • Apple Account password
  • Two-factor authentication information, where required

This service does not remove or bypass Apple Activation Lock.

When the Apple Account credentials are unavailable, account recovery must be completed through Apple’s official recovery process.

Android Account Verification

After an Android device is reset, Google Factory Reset Protection or the manufacturer’s account protection may require the account previously used on the device.

The customer may need to provide:

  • The previously connected Google Account
  • The Google Account password
  • Samsung, Motorola, or other manufacturer account credentials
  • Two-factor authentication information

This service does not bypass Google Factory Reset Protection or manufacturer account locks.

Service Limitations

A successful reset cannot be guaranteed in every situation.

Service may not be possible when:

  • The device has hardware damage
  • The charging port or buttons are not functional
  • The device cannot enter recovery mode
  • The device is remotely managed by a business or school
  • The device is reported lost or stolen
  • Ownership cannot be verified
  • Required account credentials are unavailable
  • The operating system or storage is damaged
  • The manufacturer no longer supports the device

Additional diagnostic or repair charges may apply when hardware or software faults prevent the reset process.

Service Fee

The service fee covers the time and procedures required to assess, reset, restore, or reinstall the device software.

The fee does not include:

  • Data recovery
  • Account recovery
  • Hardware repair
  • Replacement components
  • Remote-management removal
  • Activation Lock or Factory Reset Protection removal
  • Third-party subscription or manufacturer fees

The applicable charge should be confirmed before service begins.

Service Warranty

This service covers completion of the authorized reset or restoration procedure only.

It does not guarantee:

  • Recovery of erased data
  • Access to cloud backups
  • Successful account recovery
  • Removal of activation or account locks
  • Correction of unrelated hardware problems
  • Continued compatibility with unsupported applications or services

Any unrelated issue discovered after the reset may require separate assessment.

Important Notes

  • The physical device must be presented for service.
  • Proof of ownership is required.
  • The customer must authorize the reset and acknowledge the risk of permanent data loss.
  • Existing data will usually be erased.
  • Account credentials may still be required after the reset.
  • 3C-Easy Markham does not bypass security protections or access private device data.
  • Devices reported lost, stolen, or associated with suspicious ownership circumstances will not be serviced.
  • This service is subject to the applicable 3C-Easy Markham In-Store Terms and Conditions.
