Product Description
Regular LCD Replacement Screen for Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
Restore image and touchscreen functionality on a compatible Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max with this Regular replacement LCD screen assembly.
This budget-focused replacement uses TFT LCD technology instead of the original OLED display technology installed by Apple.
It is intended for customers seeking the lowest-cost functional screen replacement where basic image and touch operation are more important than matching the original display’s brightness, colour, contrast, thickness, power efficiency, or refresh-rate performance.
Important: This is not an OLED screen and does not reproduce the original iPhone 13 Pro Max display experience. ProMotion performance, true black levels, original brightness, original viewing angles, and factory-like power efficiency should not be expected.

Regular LCD Quality Notes
This Regular replacement screen uses TFT LCD technology rather than the OLED technology found in the original iPhone 13 Pro Max display.
Compared with the original screen, differences may include:
- Lower maximum brightness
- Reduced contrast
- Gray-looking blacks instead of true black
- Less accurate colour reproduction
- Narrower viewing angles
- Increased display thickness
- Higher power consumption
- Reduced outdoor visibility
- Less uniform backlighting
- Slower pixel response
- Reduced motion clarity
- Different touch response
- Different glass feel
- Different oleophobic coating
- Less consistent edge fitment
- Increased pressure on internal components
- Reduced long-term consistency
These differences are normal characteristics of a lower-cost LCD conversion and are not necessarily manufacturing defects.
This screen should not be presented as original, OEM, refurbished original, Soft OLED, or equivalent to Apple’s factory display.
OLED-to-LCD Conversion Notice
The original iPhone 13 Pro Max uses an OLED display.
This replacement converts the device to LCD operation.
OLED and LCD technologies function differently:
Original OLED Characteristics
- Individual self-lit pixels
- True black levels
- Higher contrast
- Better power efficiency with dark content
- Thinner panel construction
- Better viewing angles
- Higher peak brightness
- Faster pixel response
- Factory-calibrated colour performance
- ProMotion adaptive refresh-rate support
Regular LCD Characteristics
- Uses a backlight behind the display
- Blacks may appear dark gray
- Lower contrast
- Increased thickness
- Higher power usage in many conditions
- Reduced brightness
- More limited viewing angles
- Slower motion response
- Lower-cost construction
- Reduced or unavailable ProMotion performance
Users who prioritize original-like appearance, brightness, battery efficiency, or motion performance should consider an OLED-based replacement instead.
ProMotion and Refresh-Rate Notice
The original iPhone 13 Pro Max supports Apple ProMotion adaptive refresh-rate technology.
A Regular LCD replacement screen may not reproduce the original adaptive refresh-rate behaviour or full high-refresh-rate experience.
Possible differences may include:
- Reduced refresh-rate performance
- Less fluid scrolling
- Lower motion clarity
- Reduced animation smoothness
- Inconsistent refresh behaviour
- Display operation closer to a standard 60 Hz experience
- Increased visible blur during fast movement
- Reduced responsiveness during high-frame-rate content
The presence of smooth touch operation does not confirm original ProMotion performance.
Loss or reduction of ProMotion functionality is an expected limitation of this budget LCD option and is not necessarily considered a defect.
Brightness and Colour Notice
Display brightness and colour performance may differ significantly from the original Apple screen.
Possible differences include:
- Lower peak brightness
- Reduced sunlight visibility
- Cooler or warmer colour temperature
- Less accurate white balance
- Reduced contrast
- Less saturated colours
- Uneven backlighting
- Visible brightness variation around the edges
- More noticeable colour shift when viewed at an angle
- Reduced HDR performance
- Less detail in dark scenes
Brightness may also be affected by:
- Auto-Brightness settings
- Ambient-light sensor operation
- Device temperature
- Battery level
- Low Power Mode
- Software
- Screen calibration
- Installation quality
A Regular LCD is selected primarily for affordability rather than original display accuracy.
Power Consumption and Battery Notice
An LCD conversion may consume more power than the original OLED display.
Because the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a large display area, the LCD backlight may have a noticeable effect on power consumption, particularly at higher brightness levels.
Depending on usage, the device may experience:
- Reduced battery runtime
- Increased power consumption
- More frequent charging
- Additional heat during prolonged display use
- Higher battery drain at increased brightness
- Reduced efficiency when displaying dark content
- Increased power draw during video, gaming, or navigation
Battery performance also depends on:
- Battery condition
- Screen brightness
- Cellular signal
- Background activity
- Installed applications
- Device temperature
- iOS version
- Charging habits
Reduced battery runtime after an OLED-to-LCD conversion does not automatically indicate that the battery is defective.
Touchscreen Performance Notice
The replacement screen includes an integrated touchscreen layer.
Touch performance should be tested across the complete display before final installation.
Possible differences from the original screen may include:
- Different touch sensitivity
- Slower touch response
- Reduced edge responsiveness
- Different typing feel
- Increased accidental touches
- Reduced responsiveness with thick screen protectors
- Inconsistent operation when the device is charging with poor-quality accessories
- Reduced responsiveness during fast gaming or drawing
Touch problems may also be caused by:
- Damaged connectors
- Bent connector pins
- Logic-board faults
- Installation pressure
- Frame distortion
- Poor-quality charging accessories
- Software problems
- Screen protectors
- Another defective component
Because the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a large display area, touch response should be tested carefully across the centre, edges, corners, and keyboard area.
Display Thickness and Fitment Notice
TFT LCD replacement assemblies are generally thicker than the original OLED display.
This increased thickness may affect:
- Display seating
- Frame alignment
- Perimeter sealing
- Pressure around the screen edges
- Case fitment
- Display flex-cable routing
- Internal component clearance
- Long-term adhesive retention
- Fitment around the speaker and sensor area
The screen may sit slightly higher than the original display.
A thicker LCD assembly may also be more difficult to seal evenly, particularly when:
- The housing is bent
- The frame is damaged
- Old adhesive remains
- Internal components are misaligned
- Low-quality perimeter adhesive is used
- The device has previous repair damage
- The housing has been twisted or impacted
Original factory fitment and sealing should not be expected.
The larger iPhone 13 Pro Max housing may also make minor frame distortion more noticeable during installation.
Apple Display Notification and Software Notice
Depending on the iOS version, replacement component, and installation procedure:
- A display-related notification may appear
- An “Unable to verify” or similar message may be displayed
- Parts and Service History may record the screen replacement
- True Tone may become unavailable
- Display calibration may differ from the original configuration
- Brightness or colour behaviour may change
- Additional programming may be required to retain supported functions
A display-related message does not necessarily mean that the replacement screen is defective.
Software updates may change how replacement displays, repair history, calibration, and notifications are handled.
True Tone Notice
True Tone functionality may be unavailable after screen replacement unless the required original display data is transferred using compatible programming equipment.
Preserving True Tone may require:
- A readable original screen
- Compatible display programmer
- Transfer of original display data
- Correct replacement-screen support
- Proper installation
True Tone restoration is not guaranteed.
Programming equipment and data transfer are not included with the screen.
Face ID and Front-Sensor Notice
Screen replacement does not normally require replacing the original Face ID components.
The original front camera, infrared camera, dot projector, earpiece speaker flex, and related sensors should be retained whenever possible.
Improper installation may damage Face ID-related components and cause:
- Face ID becoming unavailable
- TrueDepth camera errors
- Proximity-sensor failure
- Automatic-brightness problems
- Front-camera problems
- Earpiece or microphone faults
- Attention-aware features becoming unavailable
A replacement screen will not repair existing Face ID or TrueDepth faults.
Handle all upper-sensor and earpiece components carefully during transfer and installation.
Installation Notes
Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Replacing the screen requires opening the device and transferring or retaining delicate internal components.
Improper handling may damage:
- Replacement screen
- Display connectors
- Logic-board sockets
- Battery
- Front camera
- Face ID-related components
- Earpiece speaker flex
- Proximity and ambient-light sensors
- Internal antennas
- Housing
- Display flex cables
- Wireless charging components
Before final installation:
- Confirm that the device is an iPhone 13 Pro Max
- Confirm the exact model number
- Compare the replacement screen with the original display
- Inspect the display glass, frame, flex cables, and connectors
- Test the screen before removing protective films
- Disconnect the battery before connecting or disconnecting the display
- Inspect the housing for bends, twisting, or impact damage
- Remove old perimeter adhesive
- Transfer required brackets and sensor components carefully
- Keep dust and fingerprints away from camera and sensor openings
- Avoid folding, puncturing, or sharply bending display flex cables
- Confirm correct connector alignment
- Test image and backlight performance
- Test touch response across the entire screen
- Test all edges, corners, and keyboard areas
- Test brightness adjustment
- Test proximity sensing
- Test automatic brightness
- Test the front camera
- Test earpiece audio
- Test Face ID
- Test wired and wireless charging
- Check for overheating or abnormal battery drain
- Confirm that the display sits evenly in the frame
- Confirm compatibility with the intended protective case
- Check that the case does not place excessive pressure on the raised display
- Do not seal the device until all functions have been tested
Do not force connectors into place. Bent pins, damaged sockets, torn flex cables, excessive pressure, or incorrect screw placement may permanently damage the screen or logic board.
The LCD panel is sensitive to internal pressure. Misplaced screws, debris, bent frames, swollen batteries, or incorrectly positioned components may cause display damage even when the outer glass remains intact.
No tools, adhesive, replacement display seal, brackets, screws, or installation materials are included.
Water-Resistance Notice
Opening the device compromises the original factory seal.
A replacement perimeter display seal may help reduce exposure to dust and incidental moisture, but original water resistance cannot be restored or guaranteed after repair.
Because an LCD replacement may be thicker than the original OLED display, achieving an even seal may be more difficult.
A slightly raised or unevenly seated display may further reduce resistance to moisture and debris.
Avoid exposing a repaired device to:
- Water
- Steam
- Rain
- High humidity
- Condensation
- Other liquids
No claim of restored factory water resistance should be made after installation.
