Product Description

Replacement Earpiece Speaker Flex Cable with Proximity Sensor for Apple iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max

Restore earpiece audio and related upper-sensor functions on a compatible Apple iPhone 11 series device with this replacement earpiece speaker flex-cable assembly.

This internal component is designed to replace an assembly affected by weak or distorted call audio, proximity-sensor failure, damaged flex cables, microphone problems, or other upper-sensor hardware faults.

Each iPhone 11 series model uses a specific assembly. Select the exact phone model before ordering, as these components are not interchangeable.

Important: Replacing the complete earpiece speaker and sensor flex assembly will normally disable Face ID unless the required original paired component is successfully transferred by a qualified microsoldering technician.

  • Microsoldering may be required to preserve Face ID
  • Inspected or tested before shipment when applicable

Common Failure Symptoms

Replacement may be appropriate when the device:

  • Produces no sound from the earpiece during calls
  • Has very low receiver volume
  • Produces muffled, distorted, crackling, or intermittent call audio
  • Sounds normal on speakerphone but not through the earpiece
  • Does not turn off the display when held near the face during a call
  • Activates the display unexpectedly during calls
  • Has failed or inconsistent proximity-sensor operation
  • Has poor front-microphone performance
  • Produces poor audio during FaceTime or other video calls
  • Has a visibly torn, folded, corroded, or damaged sensor flex cable
  • Develops upper-sensor problems after screen replacement
  • Stops working after impact or liquid exposure

These symptoms may also be caused by a blocked earpiece mesh, incorrect sensor positioning, damaged display brackets, contaminated sensor windows, logic-board faults, audio-circuit problems, software settings, liquid ingress, or another defective component.

Proper diagnosis is recommended before replacing the assembly.

Product Quality Notes

This replacement earpiece speaker flex cable may be aftermarket, refurbished original, pulled original, or otherwise sourced depending on the selected product option and available inventory.

Audio volume, tonal balance, sensor performance, microphone quality, flex-cable appearance, markings, connector design, and included components may vary depending on the component grade and production batch.

Depending on the model and supplier, the assembly may include:

  • Earpiece speaker
  • Proximity-sensor components
  • Ambient-light-sensor components
  • Front microphone
  • Flood-illuminator-related components
  • Flex-cable connector
  • Supporting electronic components

Included components may vary. Compare the replacement assembly carefully with the original flex cable before installation.

The replacement assembly does not normally include:

  • Front camera
  • Infrared camera
  • Dot projector
  • Complete TrueDepth camera assembly
  • Display assembly
  • Earpiece mesh
  • Mounting brackets
  • Screws
  • Adhesive or replacement display seal

Replacing this assembly will not resolve faults caused by the logic board, TrueDepth camera system, damaged display circuitry, blocked mesh, software, or unrelated components.

Face ID and Paired-Component Notice

The original earpiece speaker and sensor flex assembly contains a component associated with the device’s original TrueDepth and Face ID system.

Installing a complete replacement flex cable will normally result in Face ID becoming unavailable, even when the replacement earpiece speaker, proximity sensor, or microphone otherwise functions correctly.

Possible results after replacement include:

  • Face ID becoming unavailable
  • Inability to activate or configure Face ID
  • TrueDepth camera error messages
  • Loss of facial-recognition functionality
  • Certain portrait or attention-aware features becoming unavailable
  • Sensor behaviour differing from the original configuration

Preserving Face ID may require transferring the required original paired component from the damaged flex cable to the replacement assembly.

This procedure generally requires:

  • Microscope-assisted repair
  • Microsoldering experience
  • Controlled heating
  • Precision component removal and installation
  • Suitable soldering materials
  • Appropriate diagnostic and testing equipment
  • A usable original paired component

Component transfer is not guaranteed to succeed, particularly when the original flex cable or paired component has been torn, corroded, overheated, liquid-damaged, or physically damaged.

A replacement flex cable alone cannot restore Face ID when the required paired component or another part of the TrueDepth system is missing or defective.

Proximity and Ambient-Light Sensor Notice

The proximity sensor helps turn off the display when the phone is held near the user’s face during a call.

The ambient-light sensor supports automatic screen-brightness adjustment and related display behaviour.

Improper positioning, contamination, damaged sensor windows, unsuitable adhesive, incorrect brackets, display differences, or poor-quality replacement components may cause:

  • Screen remaining active during calls
  • Screen failing to reactivate after a call
  • Inconsistent proximity detection
  • Automatic brightness not functioning correctly
  • Incorrect screen dimming
  • Sensor performance varying after display replacement

The sensor openings and mounting positions must be clean and correctly aligned before the display is reassembled.

Replacing the flex assembly does not guarantee resolution when the fault is caused by the display, sensor windows, logic board, software, or another TrueDepth component.

Installation Notes

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Replacing this assembly requires opening the device, disconnecting the display, and carefully removing components attached to the upper portion of the screen assembly.

Improper handling may damage the LCD or OLED panel, battery, display flex cables, front camera, TrueDepth components, logic board, sensor flex cable, or connector sockets.

Before final installation:

  • Confirm the exact iPhone model
  • Compare the replacement assembly with the original flex cable
  • Inspect the connector, sensors, microphone, speaker, and flex sections
  • Disconnect the battery before disconnecting or reconnecting display components
  • Protect the front camera and TrueDepth sensor assembly
  • Carefully remove the original earpiece speaker and sensor bracket
  • Avoid folding, stretching, puncturing, or tearing the replacement flex
  • Inspect and clean the earpiece mesh
  • Clean the proximity and ambient-light sensor windows
  • Align all sensors with the correct display openings
  • Reinstall brackets and screws in their original positions
  • Test earpiece audio before resealing the device
  • Test calls at several volume levels
  • Test proximity sensing during a call
  • Test automatic brightness where applicable
  • Test the front microphone and voice recordings
  • Test the front camera and FaceTime audio
  • Check for buzzing, rattling, or distorted audio
  • Confirm Face ID status before and after installation
  • Test all available TrueDepth-related functions before final assembly

Do not mix screws or install them in incorrect locations. Incorrect screw placement may damage the display, sensors, or logic board.

Do not apply excessive heat or pressure near the display panel, sensor assembly, or front-camera components.

No tools, adhesive, replacement display seal, brackets, screws, or installation materials are included.

Water-Resistance Notice

Opening the device compromises the original factory seal.

A replacement display adhesive seal may help reduce exposure to dust and incidental moisture, but original water resistance cannot be restored or guaranteed after repair.

Incorrect sensor positioning, damaged adhesive, or improper display installation may leave openings that allow moisture or debris to enter the device.

Avoid exposing a repaired device to water, steam, high humidity, or other liquids.

  • Audio problems caused by the logic board or audio circuitry
  • Sensor faults caused by the display or unrelated components
  • Software, calibration, accessibility, or compatibility limitations
  • Labour, diagnostics, microsoldering, installation, removal, or related repair costs

The component must be connected and fully tested before final installation.
